Concentrated formats that are easy to measure
Vanilla extract and vanilla paste save you from splitting and scraping beans. You measure them by the spoonful and mix them straight into your recipe. Both are made from Madagascar Bourbon vanilla.
5-fold vanilla extract
“5-fold” means it is five times more concentrated than a standard extract: a few drops are enough. It suits pastries, custards, drinks and any use where the vanilla should blend into the recipe.
3-fold vanilla paste
Thicker than the extract, it contains vanilla seeds that stay visible in the finished dish. It is a good middle ground between the convenience of extract and the look of a whole bean.
