So here below is the recipe of Vanilla Soy Sauce Braised Short Ribs!

 

Ingredients:

3 lbs Korean-style short ribs
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup rice wine
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 thumb-sized piece of ginger, grated
1 vanilla bean, split and scraped
2 green onions, chopped
1 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions:

In a large bowl, mix together the soy sauce, water, brown sugar, rice wine, garlic, ginger, and vanilla bean paste until the sugar has dissolved.
Add the short ribs to the marinade, making sure they are fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
Preheat the oven to 325°F.
Remove the short ribs from the marinade and pat them dry with paper towels.
Heat the vegetable oil in a large Dutch oven or oven-safe pot over medium-high heat.
Sear the short ribs on all sides until browned, about 2-3 minutes per side.
Add the remaining marinade to the pot and bring it to a simmer.
Cover the pot and transfer it to the oven. Bake for 2 1/2 to 3 hours, or until the short ribs are tender and fall off the bone.
Skim any excess fat from the sauce and discard the vanilla bean.
Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot with rice.
